World Vision Bangladesh is seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide overall leadership for the U.S. Department of State (DHR)-funded RISE Consortium project across Gaibandha, Jamalpur, and Cox's Bazar. The role focuses on strengthening disaster risk reduction (DRR), anticipatory action, and emergency preparedness.
✅ Responsibilities
- Lead overall project implementation, budget management, donor compliance, and MEAL guidelines across 16 unions in Gaibandha, Jamalpur, and Rohingya Camps in Cox's Bazar.
- Establish community-level early warning, DRR, WASH, and climate-resilient livelihood systems in coordination with local government agencies and partners.
- Oversee camp-level interventions in Cox's Bazar, including slope stabilization, firebreaks, drainage rehabilitation, and multi-hazard simulation drills.
- Build strategic partnerships, lead stakeholder advocacy with GoB and MoDMR officials, and integrate GEDSI principles into project execution.
- Supervise, mentor, and build capacity for field-level project staff and implementing partner teams.
🎓 Requirements / Education / Skills
- Postgraduate degree in Disaster Management, Environmental Studies, Social Science, Development Studies, or equivalent.
- 5 to 7 years of experience managing multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations in the NGO sector.
- 3 to 5 years of experience managing institutional donor-funded grants (e.g., EU, DFAT, US Government).
- At least 3 years of direct experience managing DRR activities in Bangladesh, with preferred expertise in Anticipatory Action.
