📝 Job Context / Description
Jhpiego Bangladesh is seeking an Outbreak, Emergency Response & TB Technical Advisor under the USAID-funded MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) project. The role provides technical guidance and oversees outbreak emergency responses as well as Tuberculosis (TB) prevention, diagnosis, and care strategies in Bangladesh and across the region if needed.
✅ Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for outbreak and emergency response activities aligned with approved workplans.
- Offer expert advice on TB screening, prevention, diagnosis, care, and control strategies.
- Develop training strategies, facilitate capacity-building initiatives, and create scientific/technical documentation.
- Prepare deliverable reports for donors highlighting program achievements, publications, and external communications.
- Collaborate with USG, host country government counterparts, and partner organizations as part of a coordinated response structure.
🎓 Requirements / Education / Skills
- Master’s degree or international equivalent in Epidemiology, Public Health, Emergency Medicine, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience applying field epidemiology principles and outbreak investigation methods (FETP preferred).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in TB program management, including diagnosis, treatment, and laboratory/data systems.
- Experience in infectious disease surveillance, outbreak response, global health security, and multisectoral coordination (One Health) in Bangladesh.
