Research Officer (Marine)

Wildlife Conservation Society-Bangladesh is seeking a Research Officer (Marine) to support marine research, field monitoring, data analysis, and conservation activities. The selected candidate will also assist with administrative and logistical support for training, community engagement, outreach, and consultation programs.

• Support marine research, field surveys, and monitoring activities.
• Assist in data collection, verification, processing, and analysis.
• Provide administrative and logistical support for marine conservation programs.
• Coordinate training sessions, community engagement, outreach, and consultation events.
• Work closely with the Research Coordinator on day-to-day research activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, local communities, government, and partner organizations.

• Bachelor's degree in Fisheries, Marine Science, Environmental Science, Social Science, Zoology, or Conservation Biology (Master’s degree preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience in marine research and fieldwork.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, KoBo Toolbox, and SMART.
• Knowledge of data entry, verification, and field data processing.
• Ability to work with local communities, government, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and work in remote field locations, including boat travel.
• Professional proficiency in both English and Bangla.

• Monthly salary: Tk. 42,000.
