Pharmacy Assistant

The Leprosy Mission International Bangladesh (TLMI-B) is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Assistant for DBLM Hospital in Rangpur. The candidate will assist in daily hospital pharmacy operations, including medicine dispensing, stock inventory management, and patient counseling.

• Dispense prescribed medications accurately and provide clear administration, dosage, and storage instructions to patients.
• Maintain pharmacy stock following the First in First Out (FIFO) method, regularly checking expiry dates and removing near-expiry items.
• Update daily sales and inventory records using the computer-based HMIS system and submit requisitions for procurement.
• Handle billing and cash transactions accurately while maintaining a clean, disinfected, and organized pharmacy area.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare teams to ensure prompt delivery of critical diagnostic results.

• Diploma in Pharmacy (Category B) certification from a recognized institution.
• At least 2 years of experience in pharmacy sales, preferably within the NGO sector.
• Basic computer skills for order processing and HMIS data entry.
• Strong knowledge of generic drug names, prescription reading, and customer service skills.
• High integrity, empathy toward marginalized patients, and willingness to work flexible shift schedules (including weekends/holidays).

Monthly consolidated salary of BDT 33,318 as per TLMI-B policy.
