Assistant Manager - Supply Chain (Procurement & Strategic Sourcing)

Care Nutrition Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager – Supply Chain to lead its end-to-end procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor development, and supplier relationship management activities. Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain, the successful candidate will ensure the uninterrupted availability of raw materials, packaging materials, indirect goods, and services while optimizing costs, mitigating risks, and maintaining compliance. 

• Lead end-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing activities for all direct and indirect materials, aligning execution with business objectives.
• Develop and implement annual procurement plans in close collaboration with Production, Planning, Finance, QA, and Commercial teams.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard competitive new suppliers locally and internationally to reduce dependency on single sources.
• Conduct RFQ/RFP/RFI processes, manage comparative commercial evaluations, and continuously benchmark market prices.
• Build long-term strategic supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance metrics covering quality, capacity, compliance, and service using defined KPIs.
• Drive commercial negotiations to secure optimal pricing, payment terms, rebates, warranties, and service level agreements.
• Formulate supply risk mitigation and contingency sourcing strategies against geopolitical, regulatory, and market shifts.
• Monitor inventory levels alongside Planning teams to accelerate fulfillment times and prevent stock-outs or over-inventory situations.
• Ensure absolute compliance with company ethical standards, audit readiness, and supplier conformity to food safety, legal, and environmental requirements.
• Drive digital procurement initiatives, automate workflows, and maintain dashboards within ERP systems to improve operational transparency.
• Mentor junior supply chain staff and foster an organizational culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and accountability.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• An MBA or Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PGDSCM, CSCM, CIPS, CPSM, or ISM) are highly preferred and considered a strong advantage.
• 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
• At least 2 years of experience strictly in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Prior industrial background specifically in FMCG, food manufacturing, nutrition, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods sectors is required.
• Demonstrated background handling vendor negotiations, contract management, and complex spend or data analysis.
• Mastery over modern ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent), Advanced Microsoft Excel, and Power BI.
• Minimum age requirement is at least 22 years.
