📝 Job Context / Description

Marco Polo Dhaka, a premium 40-room boutique hotel located in Uttara, is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - HR & Admin. The selected candidate will support day-to-day HR administrative workflows, manage employee documentation, assist in talent acquisition, and ensure the organization adheres strictly to the Bangladesh Labour Act.

✅ Responsibilities

  • Assist in core recruitment and selection initiatives, including posting job vacancies, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and facilitating onboarding.
  • Draft administrative HR letters, such as appointment letters, confirmation letters, transfer letters, promotion letters, and other relevant correspondence.
  • Establish and regularly update employee personnel files and core HR documentation.
  • Track and monitor employee attendance patterns, leave requests, and disciplinary records.
  • Ensure all company HR policies and practices comply with the Bangladesh Labour Act and Labour Rules.
  • Coordinate employee orientation programs, internal training sessions, and professional development plans.
  • Generate monthly HR administrative reports and maintain up-to-date HR databases.
  • Assist Department Heads (HODs) during regular performance appraisals and employee engagement activities.
  • Coordinate employee welfare plans and motivational initiatives.
  • Provide necessary support during disciplinary proceedings and formal grievance-handling workflows.
  • Liaise actively with other internal departments regarding day-to-day HR and administrative operational matters.
  • Maintain high levels of confidentiality regarding employee information and company records while preparing the monthly salary sheets.
  • Execute other relevant duties assigned by hotel management.

🎓 Requirements / Education / Skills

🎁 Benefits

  • Bachelor's or Honors degree in any discipline.
  • 1 to 4 years of professional experience, though freshers are also encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience in the following business areas is highly valued: Hotels, Restaurants, Buying Houses, Healthcare/Lifestyle products, Hospitals, Share Brokerage/Securities Houses, Supply Chain, or Advertising Agencies.
  • Age must be between 20 to 36 years.
  • Only female candidates are eligible to apply.
  • Solid skills in office administration, HR database management (HRIS), payroll management, Microsoft Excel, and employee relations.
